MEDITATION AND ITS VALUE

In earlier times when someone was asked the reason of meditation, then he would reply blankly "TO ATTAIN GOD" 

The concept of Meditation is not new. It is hundreds of years old. But we can notice that it has started gaining a lot of importance in the west now. There are now many meditation techniques which attract different kind of people as per their nature and personas. 

The effects of Meditation on the entire body results in the outcome of strong and positive energy, relaxing mind, control over oneself, yogic diet, breathing control and so on.

 

Meditation is also considered as the means to pay off the heavy load of karma that stands in the midst of us and eternity. Through meditation one can realize where he has not been himself and can rectify his mistakes by dedicating a part of his life to the God. 

When old age comes, people start feeling lonely and dejected by world. They feel there is no one to be with them and share their life. Death is obvious and so as old age approaches, people start waiting for their end, surrounded by loneliness and sadness. But the one who has been involved in meditating throughout his earlier life doesnt feels so. He feels that old age is the right time to pay back for our ill deeds. We all know that Death is inevitable and so before dying we must know how to die and this can be done only by meditating for long hours. It is believed that in order to reach God i.e. eternity, there is no shortcut and one should pass through the ladder of meditation. 

Many a times it is noticed that we do not achieve results even through meditation. This is because our body becomes lazy and lethargic. We are unaware of the entire surroundings and gain our consciousness only in cases of emergencies. While meditation is a state where one has to be fully awake. One should be completely conscious of what he is doing. Then only we can achieve positive results. But inspire of knowing all this, our entire life is spent in an unaware state of mind. We always want our mind to stop running over useless things, yet we ourselves feed our mind with the required details for running over such stupid scenes. It is a real sad state of affairs where we want our mind to be awake yet we hardly make any efforts to do so. 

Thus we can say that Meditation is the only outcome from this craving world of unnecessary desires. And we ourselves have to work over it to reach to eternity without any hurdles of egoistic needs.
