It
is very effective to do exercises daily at least for about an hour by which
unnecessary stress on the body can be removed making our mind very relaxed.
At the same time, exercises are not recommended during night as they might
make you be awake for long time.
The next main factor
is to prevent the consumption of alcohol and drugs. It is a wrong
assumption by many that alcohol might relax our mind and makes us sleep but
the truth is they disrupt us from having a sound sleep. If these are not
avoided it can make them to wake up at midnights all of sudden. In this
technology world, usage of electronic items have become almost for 24
hours a day. It is preferred that these devices and gadgets are switched
off at least an hour before sleep. Also practice a daily routine of
going to sleep at the same time. All the other activities like playing;
listening to music, reading books should be stopped at the prescribed time.
Its very true that
good thoughts make a good happening. So when you go to bed take a deep
breathe and keep telling yourself that you will have a sound sleep
tonight and relax your eyes and body, automatically you will sleep. Also at
times you can try out some meditation or yoga asanas before going to bed.
But even after trying out the above methods, if the problem of lack of sleep
persist its better to consult a physician. |
